Ten Thousand Things Announces 2026-2027 Season

Caitlin Lowans’ Second Season as TTT’s Artistic Director

Second season by Artistic Director Caitlin Lowans features Shakespeare, a poetic fusion of Nigerian spirituality and Greek mythology, and a charming comic musical.

“Our 2026-2027 season offers three works which all celebrate community, healing, and second chances” says Lowans. “This will be the first time Ten Thousand Things produces the jewel-box musical, She Loves Me – a favorite with actors and audiences for its memorable songs and heartfelt themes. The story might also be familiar to fans of Norah Ephron’s beloved You’ve Got Mail. Inua Ellams’ The Half-God of Rainfall will likely be new to Minnesota audiences. Ellams is an exciting Nigerian-British playwright and poet, known for his dynamic language; I can’t wait to share director Sha’ Cage’s engaging physical approach to this epic story. With Shakespeare’s As You Like It, I’m excited to bring forward the work of this incredible cast. This play invites audiences to imagine the freedom of building community beyond the confines of conventional society.”

ABOUT THE 2026-2027 SEASON

As You Like It by William Shakespeare
September 30-November 8, 2026
Directed by Caitlin Lowans
Music by Joni Griffith
Featuring Katie Bradley, Dustin Bronson, Isa Condo-Olvera, Darius Dotch, Nubia Monks, and Greg Watanabe
To escape death, our heroine, her best friend, and one of Shakespeare’s funniest fools flee to the forest. Released from the court’s conventions, they discover earnest shepherds and ironic aristocrats – along with joy and forgiveness. Closed hearts open, love transforms, and community takes root.

The Half-God of Rainfall by Inua Ellams
February 3- March 14, 2027
Directed by Shá Cage
Music by Dameun Strange
Featuring Nathan Barlow, Darius Dotch, Tyson Forbes, Imani Harris, Ashe Jaafaru, and Skye Seiler
A mother protects her son from the king of the immortals, but cannot protect him from himself, as mothers and goddesses must finally stand against the fragile, furious and entitled gods. Weaving Yoruba spirituality, Greek mythology and basketball, the epic Half-God of Rainfall transports us from a Nigerian village to an NBA arena to the peak of Mount Olympus.

She Loves Me by Harnick, Bock, & Masterhoff
April 28-June 6, 2027
Directed by Caitlin Lowans
Featuring China Brickey, Antonisia Collins, Bradley Greenwald, and Max Wojtanowicz
Amalia and Georg can’t stand each other – and all of their co-workers know it. These two sparring shop clerks bump heads, while saving sweet nothings for the letters they write to anonymous pen pals: each other! Mistaken identities, bosses gone bad, and second chances abound in this heartfelt musical.

Tickets for As You Like It will go on sale in July. A limited number of Flex Passes (season tickets) will be available on a lottery basis this summer for TTT donors.
