Caitlin is Artistic Director at Ten Thousand Things and grateful to join TTT and the Minnesota arts communities.

Previously, Caitlin served for six-and-a-half years as Artistic Director of Theatreworks Colorado Springs. Caitlin was introduced to TTT in 2015 while pursuing an MFA in Directing at Northwestern, and in 2017 attended our national conference for theater professionals interested in TTT’s model of bringing high-quality theater to audiences who lack access to the arts. This inspiration led to their creation of a TTT-inspired community theatre touring program, Free-For-All/ ACT OUT, at Theatreworks in 2018. Prior to all of that, Caitlin served as Associate Artistic Director and Director of Education at Stoneham Theatre (now Greater Boston Stage Company), as well as a freelance director, teaching artist, and dramaturg in New England.

Recent directing projects include Kate Hamill’s Sense and Sensibility, the TTT-inspired ACT OUT: 2 Gents, Into the Woods in Concert (in collaboration with the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs) and a gender-swapped Taming of the Shrew for Theatreworks; as well as Rocky Horror Show for Phamaly Theatre Company, the oldest professional theatre company for actors with disabilities, and Brandon Jacob-Jenkins’ Everybody for Colorado College.

The commitment to having everyone in the audience, combined with the equality the model brings to artists and audiences, is everything I want theater to be. I am so honored to serve in this position and continue Marcela and Michelle’s legacies.”
