Kira Obolensky

kiraKira is a playwright and writer who lives in Minneapolis. Her numerous awards and fellowships include the Guggenheim Fellowship, McKnight Advancement Grant, Bush Artist Fellowship and the Kesslring Prize. She loves writing for Ten Thousand Things and has had the great good fortune to write five plays for the company—Raskol, Vasa Lisa, Dirt Sticks, Forget Me Not and The Changelings—and is currently a Mellon Foundation-funded playwright on staff. Writing plays with the idea that everyone is going to be in the audience has been a profound experience for her and she look forward to her continuing collaboration with TTT!
